New Statements from Biden and Clinton on Trump
Rokna Political Desk: Following the historic peace agreement between Israel and Hamas brokered by former President Donald Trump, U.S. Presidents Joe Biden and Bill Clinton publicly praised the initiative, highlighting its significance in resolving the long-standing conflict.

After Trump signed the peace accord in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, both former presidents acknowledged his role in mediating between Israel and Hamas.
According to Rokna, citing Axios, Joe Biden, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), wrote: “I am deeply grateful and relieved that this day has arrived for the 20 hostages who were the last survivors and endured unimaginable suffering, finally returning to their families and loved ones, as well as for civilians in Gaza who have experienced immeasurable loss and are now afforded the opportunity to rebuild their lives.”
Biden continued: “The path to this agreement was not easy. My administration worked diligently to bring the hostages home, ensure peace of mind for Palestinian citizens, and end the conflict. I commend President Trump and his team for their efforts to reach this new ceasefire. Now, with support from the United States and the international community, the Middle East is on a path to peace, which I hope will endure and create a future of equitable peace, dignity, and safety for both Israelis and Palestinians.”
Meanwhile, Bill Clinton, also in a post on X, stated that Trump and his administration, along with Qatar and other regional actors, deserve substantial recognition for maintaining engagement among all parties until the agreement was reached.
Trump responded to Clinton’s remarks on Monday, describing Clinton’s post as “truly very beautiful.” He added that he has always maintained a good relationship with Clinton, who attended his wedding as a friend, noting that Hillary Clinton, without explicitly referencing the 2016 election in which she ran against him, had also attended the ceremony.
It is worth noting that last week, former President Barack Obama commented on Trump’s peace plan without directly mentioning Trump, stating that “we should all be encouraged and relieved that the end of hostilities is near.” In response, a White House spokesperson reposted Obama’s statement, adding: “Mention his name… President Donald J. Trump.”
