Erdogan Prepares for Key Trip to Gaza
Rokna Political Desk: President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, criticizing Israel’s aggressive policies, has called on the regime to adhere to agreements and end threats to regional security and stability.

Speaking at the advisory assembly of the Justice and Development Party on Saturday evening, Erdogan stressed that Israel must cease its aggressive actions in the region and honor its commitments.
“We sincerely hope that the Gaza peace agreement will lead to lasting peace, security, and stability in Gaza and across Palestinian territories,” Erdogan said, according to Anadolu News Agency.
Erdogan added, “Israel must uphold its signed commitments and put an end to its aggressive policies, which threaten the region and the safety of its own citizens.” He further stated, “We fully support any initiative that permanently ends the two-year-long massacre and genocide in Gaza.”
The Turkish president indicated that he is likely to travel to Gaza soon, emphasizing that “after the ceasefire agreement, there should be no turning back.”
He reiterated, “Israel must fully implement the commitments it has signed and halt its aggressive policies, which threaten not only regional security but also the safety of its own citizens. There must be no obstacles to humanitarian aid reaching Gaza. Additionally, a two-state solution remains the key to lasting peace in our region.”
Touching on domestic economic issues, Erdogan highlighted, “Our central bank reserves continue to rise, reaching $183 billion. While some work for corrupt municipal officials, we serve 86 million citizens. They seek political gain; we seek the future of our nation.”
Erdogan also praised Hamas for showing readiness for a peaceful agreement: “Our Palestinian brothers, particularly Hamas, have demonstrated a very forward-looking approach and willingness for peace. Other Muslim countries in the region have also supported these negotiations. After two years of oppression, genocide, and destruction, for the first time, smiles are returning to the faces of Gaza’s people.”
He concluded by noting Turkey’s active diplomatic involvement: “Turkey has participated in these negotiations and remained engaged throughout the process. I appreciate the support of U.S. President Donald Trump and the leaders of Egypt and Qatar. We sincerely hope that the agreement will bring lasting peace, security, and stability to Gaza and Palestinian territories. I also commend our intelligence officers and diplomats for clearly presenting Turkey’s fair, honest, and principled stance during these talks.”
