Millions of Israelis Flee to Shelters Amid Fears of Yemeni Missile Strike

According to Rokna, the alarms were triggered shortly after midnight following the launch of a missile from Yemeni territory. The attack caused widespread panic, forcing residents to seek shelter as explosions were reportedly heard over several areas, including the occupied West Bank.

Operations at Ben Gurion Airport were also suspended temporarily amid heightened alert.

Israeli media outlets reported that multiple explosions were heard in the skies above the West Bank, while the Israeli army claimed to have intercepted and destroyed the incoming missile. Yemeni sources have so far issued no official response.

The overnight incident comes amid continued Yemeni support for Palestinians since the outbreak of the Al-Aqsa Storm and the start of the Gaza war.

In a recent address, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, stated that the Yemeni front carried out 18 operations in the past week, including missile and drone strikes targeting sites deep inside Israeli-occupied territories, maritime positions, and Israeli attacks.
