Zelenskyy: Putin plotting expansion of war into Europe + Video
Rokna Political Desk: Zelenskyy warned that Putin is preparing to attack another European country, accusing Russia of testing NATO’s air defenses with recent drone incursions.

According to Rokna, citing The Guardian, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has cautioned that Russia is preparing to extend its conflict beyond Ukraine’s borders and may target another European nation. He accused Moscow of using recent drone flights to probe NATO’s air defenses.
Speaking in Kyiv after talks with U.S. President Donald Trump at the UN in New York, Zelenskyy said Moscow is not waiting for the war in Ukraine to conclude before opening “a new front.” “Nobody knows where, but he wants it,” the Ukrainian leader declared.
According to Zelenskyy, Russian drones have recently been observed over Denmark, Poland, and Romania, while fighter jets violated Estonian airspace. More drones were detected on Friday above a Danish military base and on Saturday near a Norwegian base. He suggested that EU states are struggling to counter this evolving threat. Earlier this month, Ukraine tracked 92 drones flying toward Poland in a coordinated formation; most were intercepted, but 19 crossed into Polish territory, and four were shot down.
Zelenskyy emphasized that some partner nations will soon send representatives to Ukraine to receive hands-on training in countering Russian aerial attacks. “We are ready to share our experience,” he said.
His remarks followed what he described as “very good” discussions with Trump, who later voiced optimism that Ukraine could reclaim all territory lost since 2022 with the backing of Europe and NATO. Trump also characterized Russia’s economy as “in serious trouble” and its armed forces as a “paper tiger.”
Zelenskyy explained that he briefed Trump on battlefield realities, stressing that Russian gains are fleeting: “This is not success, it’s a temporary presence.” He added that Trump now shows greater confidence in Ukraine and recognizes Russia’s pattern of disrespect toward other nations.
When asked about reports that he had requested Tomahawk cruise missiles capable of striking Moscow, Zelenskyy declined to comment, calling it a “sensitive issue.”
Kyiv has recently carried out several successful long-range drone strikes against Russian oil refineries. Zelenskyy warned that if Moscow attempts to cripple Ukraine’s energy infrastructure again this winter, the Russian capital itself could face retaliatory blackouts.
