Iran Recalls Ambassadors from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom
Rokna Political Desk: Iran has recalled its ambassadors from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom for consultations following the decision of the three European states to trigger the JCPOA dispute resolution mechanism.

According to Rokna, the irresponsible move by the three European countries to activate the snapback mechanism has led Tehran to summon its ambassadors in Berlin, Paris, and London for consultations.
Accordingly, in response to what Tehran described as the reckless misuse of the JCPOA dispute resolution mechanism to reinstate rescinded United Nations Security Council resolutions, the ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Germany, France, and the United Kingdom were recalled to Tehran for consultations.
On August 27, the three European countries submitted a letter to the UN Security Council to initiate the activation of the snapback mechanism, which would reinstate previously terminated UN sanctions against Iran. This process, after a 30-day period, concluded early Sunday, leading to the reimposition of six Security Council resolutions that had previously been closed.
Last night, a draft resolution proposed by Russia and China to extend Resolution 2231 for six months failed to pass in the Security Council.
On Tuesday, September 23, a meeting was also held in New York with the participation of Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the foreign ministers of the three European states, and EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, during this joint meeting with Araghchi, in light of what was described as the unjustified and illegal initiation of the process to reinstate rescinded UN sanctions, several ideas and proposals were discussed to sustain diplomacy, with all parties agreeing to continue consultations.
Speaking at the UN Security Council session last night, Iran’s Foreign Minister stated that just as military attacks failed to achieve their declared objectives, the snapback mechanism will also fail. He emphasized that dialogue is the only solution and that Iran will never respond to threats or pressure.
The Foreign Minister also stressed that the three European states had violated their commitments under the JCPOA and Resolution 2231, thereby forfeiting any right to claim “non-performance.” Their resort to the so-called reversible mechanism, he said, constitutes a blatant abuse of the process.
