Trump Threatens Venezuela: “Unimaginable Consequences” Amid Escalating Tensions

In a message posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump claimed: “We want Venezuela to immediately take back all prisoners and psychiatric patients—including those from the worst asylums in the world—that the ‘leadership’ of Venezuela forcibly sent into the United States!”

The President further alleged: “Thousands of people have been gravely harmed or even killed by these ‘monsters.’ Remove them from our country immediately—right now—or the price you will pay will be incalculable!”

This threat comes shortly after Trump announced that U.S. forces in the Caribbean once again attacked a Venezuelan vessel, killing three people. He stated on Truth Social that the “deadly direct strike was carried out under my orders within the jurisdiction of U.S. Southern Command,” which oversees 31 nations across South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

It is noteworthy that in recent weeks, Trump has repeatedly targeted Venezuelan ships under what he described as the fight against drug trafficking—a justification Caracas has strongly rejected as baseless.
