Larijani Arrives in Riyadh; Meeting with Saudi Defense Minister Scheduled + Video
Rokna Political Desk: Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, arrived in Riyadh at noon today (Tuesday, September 16, 2025) and was received by Saudi officials and Iran’s Ambassador to Riyadh, Alireza Enayati.
According to the Government’s Information Portal, Larijani’s visit to Riyadh follows the visit of Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman to Tehran in Farvardin 1404 (March–April 2025).
Larijani is accompanied on this trip by Ali Bagheri, Deputy for International Affairs of the Supreme National Security Council, and Mohammad Ali Bek, Assistant Minister and Director-General of the Persian Gulf Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, Larijani is scheduled to meet with senior Saudi officials, including the Defense Minister, to discuss the expansion of bilateral relations.
The Arab media outlet Al-Mayadeen had previously reported on Larijani’s trip to Riyadh.
This marks Larijani’s third foreign visit since assuming the position of Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council. Prior to this, he traveled to Iraq and then to Lebanon, where he held meetings and discussions with officials of both countries.
