Israel Conducts 35,000 Attacks Across Five Countries in 20 Months
Rokna Political Dedk: An estimated total of 35,000 attacks by Israel against five countries has been reported in a study published by Al Jazeera on June 24, the day the war between Israel and Iran reportedly ceased. The report, based on data from the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), covers the period from October 7, 2023, to June 13, 2025—equivalent to 616 days or 20 months and 7 days.

According to Rokna, during this period, in addition to military operations against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, Israel conducted attacks against Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Iran, and Qatar.
The estimated 35,000 attacks are detailed in Al Jazeera’s report, considered the most up-to-date assessment on this subject to date.
Israel’s Attacks on Palestine and Five Other Countries
Israeli operations, conducted via air, land, and sea, initially targeted Gaza. The Al Jazeera report estimates that over 18,000 attacks were carried out against Palestinian territories between October 7, 2023, and June 13, 2025. Lebanon ranks second, with more than 15,500 attacks recorded. While these operations have significantly declined following last year’s ceasefire, targeted assassinations by Israel continued sporadically.
Syria ranks third, with 616 attacks conducted by Israel. Following the fall of Bashar al-Assad, Israel occupied additional areas of Syrian territory and carried out heavy airstrikes targeting weapons depots and military infrastructure.
Iran was targeted in 58 operations prior to the 12-day war, according to the report. Other sources cite 360 attacks during the recent conflict. Earlier operations may refer to limited strikes in November 2024 and targeted assassinations, such as that of Ismail Haniyeh, within this 20-month timeframe.
Yemen was attacked fewer than 40 times, though some strikes were significant, targeting energy and economic infrastructure. Finally, Qatar was struck once by an Israeli air operation.
Attack on a U.S. Ally in the Gulf
Qatar hosts the Al Udeid Air Base and the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) headquarters in the region. Al Udeid is considered the largest U.S. air base outside the United States and holds strategic significance. Doha maintains strategic ties with Washington, and Israel’s strike in the Qatari capital, targeting Hamas leadership, raised numerous questions, particularly regarding U.S. capability to protect its regional ally. Although the attack in Doha represents a comparatively minor operation in Israel’s overall campaign since October 7, its location and target amplified its strategic sensitivity.
