Severe Damage to Israeli Airbase Revealed One Year After “Vadeh Sadegh 2” Operation + Video
Rokna Political Desk: Newly released satellite imagery reveals that Iran’s “Vadeh Sadegh 2” operation caused significant damage to the Tel Nof Airbase in Israel. The missile strikes have come to light one year after extensive media censorship by the Israeli regime.

A user account on the social media platform X, specializing in satellite imagery analysis, stated that despite Israel’s claims of successfully intercepting Iranian missiles, Tel Nof Airbase and its surrounding areas were severely affected by Iran’s heavy missile strikes during the “Vadeh Sadegh 2” operation.
According to Rokna, “Nacto Mind,” a satellite imagery analysis account on X, published high-resolution open-source satellite images showing that at least nine Iranian missiles struck Tel Nof Airbase and nearby areas, with three targeting critical sites. The images were released on December 24, one year after Israeli censorship.
A video shared by the account shows that the secondary explosions at Tel Nof occurred because a facility containing explosives was hit. The heavy missile impacts caused damage to surrounding buildings and created relatively deep craters at the impact sites.
Furthermore, at least one Iranian missile struck the personnel building within the residential area of the airbase, destroying several structures.
The “Vadeh Sadegh 2” operation was carried out in response to Israeli extraterritorial terrorism targeting resistance leaders in Iran and Lebanon. On August 1, 2024, former Hamas Political Bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, visiting Tehran for Masoud Pezeshkian’s inauguration ceremony, was assassinated by the Israeli regime at his residence.
Following this act of extraterritorial terrorism, widely condemned by world leaders, Iran was urged to exercise restraint. Nevertheless, on September 27, 2024, Israel conducted an airstrike on Hezbollah headquarters in Beirut, killing Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, IRGC Brigadier General Abbas Niyafroshan, and several other resistance officials. In response, Iran launched “Vadeh Sadegh 2” against Israeli territories on October 2, 2024.
In a statement issued in the early hours of the operation, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) emphasized that “in response to the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Brigadier General Abbas Niyafroshan, the heart of the occupied territories was targeted.”
Additionally, Israel carried out aggressive attacks on June 13, 2024, against Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, targeting nuclear facilities, military centers, residential buildings, Evin Prison in Tehran, and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals. These attacks occurred amid indirect Iran-U.S. negotiations over limiting Iran’s nuclear program and, according to the U.S. president, with full Washington awareness and support.
In retaliation, Iran launched “Vadeh Sadegh 3,” striking strategic and military centers in Israeli-occupied territories with combined missile and drone operations. Despite Israel’s systematic censorship of Iranian missile attacks, media reports and field imagery on social media indicate that Iran penetrated Israel’s multilayered air defense, including advanced U.S.-made systems such as THAAD and Patriot.
