Iran Emerges as a Regional Power, Says Head of Atomic Energy Organization

According to Rokna Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), wrote in an article titled “Standing Against Pressures and the Necessity of Continued National Progress” that the first anniversary of the 14th government comes at a time when the country faces a situation markedly different from previous years. This includes not only ongoing maximum economic and political pressures but also unprecedented media offensives and even direct military attacks by the Israeli regime and the United States.

For the first time since the Islamic Revolution, adversaries brazenly and miscalculatingly directly targeted Iranian territory with military aggression. Their objectives extended beyond striking nuclear facilities or defense infrastructure; in reality, they targeted the Iranian government and people to create divisions between the populace and the state by simultaneously undermining defensive, nuclear, security, and law enforcement capabilities.

However, as historical experience shows, the Iranian nation is neither intimidated by pressure nor threats. In critical moments, it consistently strengthens its cohesion and solidarity. This time, too, enemy attacks did not sow division but fostered a magnificent and unparalleled unity between the government and the people, marking one of the most notable displays of national solidarity in contemporary Iranian history.

Especially in today’s world, filled with injustice, oppression, and domination by major powers, possessing an efficient military with active deterrence capabilities has highlighted the unity of the nation and government, showcasing Iran’s Islamic greatness to the world.

Currently, thanks to the wise guidance of the Supreme Leader, Iran has emerged as a regional power. This strength, combined with the nation’s unity and resilience, has thwarted the enemies’ plots. This experience reaffirms that standing against the ambitions of arrogant powers is not only possible but also essential for safeguarding national independence and dignity, facilitating comprehensive progress through strengthened scientific, technological, and industrial foundations.

Iran’s nuclear industry represents a successful model of scientific and technological advancement. In both clean and sustainable energy production and non-energy sectors—including healthcare, agriculture, industry, safety, and the environment—it has achieved a global standing, much to the dismay of adversaries. Over the years, through various propaganda, negative portrayals, and international pressures, they have sought to halt Iran’s nuclear progress, yet, by God’s grace, they have failed and will continue to fail.

Today, national solidarity and determination, faith in divine providence, and confidence in the future—under the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader, who steers the revolutionary ship through turbulent times, and the sincere efforts of the President with the slogan “National Concord”—signal hope for a bright future.

As a servant of this nation, I firmly believe that Iran’s future will be shaped not through submission to bullies but through reliance on God, adherence to the Supreme Leader, and the unity of government and people. Now more than ever, it is essential to embrace the principle that science and faith, resistance and rationality, constitute the wings that will carry the Iranian nation toward a luminous tomorrow.
