Trump Announces Plans to Host G20 Summit at His Miami Golf Club in 2026
Rokna Political Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he “would like” Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping to attend the 2026 G20 Summit in Miami.

According to Rokna, Trump announced that he intends to host the 2026 G20 meeting—a forum comprising the world’s largest economies—at his Doral Golf Club in the Miami area of Florida.
Speaking from the White House on Friday evening local time, Trump confirmed that Miami will host the 2026 G20 Summit and that Poland will be invited as an observer.
The U.S. president also emphasized, “We will not earn any money from this.”
Previously, Trump had planned to host the 2020 G7 Summit at his Miami resort during his first presidential term, but ultimately abandoned the idea following public criticism over holding such a major gathering of world leaders at his private property.
Trump Expresses Interest in Putin and Xi Attending Miami Summit
Trump further stated that he “would like” Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping to participate in the 2026 G20 Summit in Miami.
He added that if either leader wishes to attend the 2026 G20 meeting, they will be welcomed.
Addressing reporters, Trump said: “If they want to, I would very much like them to participate. I mean, they can attend as observers. I’m not sure if they want to be observers.”
Both Russia and China are G20 members; however, since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Putin has declined to attend the 2023 summit in New Delhi and the 2024 summit in Rio de Janeiro, sending Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov instead.
China’s president, however, attended last year’s summit in Brazil.
