“Xi Jinping Champions a Fairer World”

According to Rokna, citing Xinhua on Wednesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping, alongside world leaders, attended a grand military parade at Beijing’s Tian’anmen Square, marking the 80th anniversary of China and other nations’ victory over fascism. In his speech, Xi emphasized the necessity of addressing the root causes of war and preventing the recurrence of historical tragedies, stating that collective security can only be ensured when nations regard each other as equals and cooperate collaboratively.

Xi Jinping views the occasion not merely as a historical commemoration but as a signal of a vision for the future—a future where humanity can live in a just, equitable, and prosperous world. During the ceremony, he met with troops of the People’s Liberation Army and underscored the importance of global justice, stating, “Strong nations must not pressure weaker ones, and decisions should not be based on force or displays of power.”

From Xi’s perspective, sustainable development and global justice are achievable through international cooperation and reducing inequalities worldwide. Under his leadership, China has participated in UN peacekeeping missions, facilitated regional negotiations such as the Saudi-Iran reconciliation, and established initiatives including the “Friends for Peace Group on the Ukraine Crisis” and the “International Organization for Mediation in Hong Kong” in collaboration with 32 countries.
Over the decades, Xi has prioritized the fight against poverty, having lifted China—the world’s largest developing country—out of absolute poverty a full decade ahead of the UN 2030 agenda. He inspires other developing nations, demonstrating that sustainable development and global equity are attainable goals.

Xi’s global initiatives encompass the Belt and Road Initiative, the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative, all aimed at strengthening multilateral governance, enhancing international justice, and promoting cooperative solutions to global challenges. He also emphasizes the importance of collaboration among Global South countries to amplify their influence in the world order.

Throughout his remarks, Xi repeatedly stressed: “No country should be left behind in humanity’s progress,” highlighting China’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for all nations to access development and global prosperity. In his view, true development and global justice are possible only through cooperation, mutual respect, and adherence to the principles of the United Nations.
