Controversial Israeli Claim: Yemen Used Cluster Ballistic Missile + Video

Israeli sources alleged that the Yemeni army may have used a cluster ballistic missile in its recent attack on the occupied territories.

According to Rokna, citing Al Masirah, Israeli media, including the news outlet Walla, reported that, according to sources in the Israeli Air Force, it is believed that the Yemenis used a ballistic missile with a cluster warhead for the first time in their recent attack—a missile capable of splitting into three warheads before hitting the ground.

After clearing and analyzing the missile’s flight path, it is believed that the Yemenis used a new cluster missile for the first time, making it significantly more difficult to track and intercept.

Israeli sources added that, according to some estimates, the missile carried at least 10 small explosive warheads.

The report stated that investigations into the interception methods and defense policy applied in this attack are still ongoing.

Walla wrote: “If final verification confirms that this missile was indeed a cluster type, Israel will be forced to reconsider its missile defense policies.”

Meanwhile, the Israel Broadcasting Corporation also reported that the missile fired from Yemen on Friday evening broke apart in the sky in an “unusual” manner.

This comes as Israeli security sources acknowledged that Yemeni forces possess the domestic capability to develop and produce such missiles.
