Trump’s March on Chicago!

According to Rokna, the American newspaper The Washington Post reported on Saturday that the Pentagon has drafted plans to send U.S. military forces to the city of Chicago.

Donald Trump claims that the deployment of U.S. military personnel to Democratic-governed states is aimed at intensifying efforts against crime, homelessness, and illegal immigration.

The report stated that the Department of Defense plan has been under review in recent weeks and includes scenarios such as deploying several thousand National Guard troops beginning in early September.

On Friday, targeting cities and states governed by Democrats, Trump said: “Chicago is a disaster, and we will likely address this problem very soon.”

In response to this news, the Pentagon stated: “We do not speculate about future operations. The Department of Defense is a planning institution and continuously collaborates with other agencies to protect federal assets and personnel.”

Meanwhile, J.B. Pritzker, Governor of Illinois, rejected any necessity for military intervention, stating: “Donald Trump is creating a manufactured crisis and politicizing the military to divert public attention.”

On the other hand, Brandon Johnson, Mayor of Chicago, described the deployment of the National Guard as “illegal, unnecessary, and unreasonable.”

He added: “Over the past year, murders in Chicago have decreased by more than 30 percent, thefts by 35 percent, and shootings by nearly 40 percent.”

This news comes as Trump recently requested Republican governors of three states to send hundreds of National Guard troops to Washington, a move similar to the June decision to deploy 4,000 National Guard personnel and 700 Marines to Los Angeles, which faced opposition from California’s Democratic governor.
