“Iran and Armenia Sign Joint Statement and 10 Cooperation Documents” + Video

According to the Government’s Information Portal, continuing the programs of Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to Armenia, today (Tuesday, 28 Mordad 1404), senior officials from Iran and Armenia, in the presence of the leaders of both countries, signed ten cooperation documents in political, social, cultural, tourism, industrial, educational, urban planning, artistic, and health sectors.

Additionally, the President of Iran and the Prime Minister of Armenia signed a joint statement regarding the visit between the two countries.

The following memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed between Iran and Armenia:

  • Political Consultations: An MoU on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia for the years 1404–1406 (2025–2027) was signed by Seyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

  • Standards and Conformity: An MoU on standardization, accreditation, and technical regulation compliance was signed by Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi, Head of Iran’s Plan and Budget Organization, along with the National Standards Organization, and the Minister of Economy of Armenia.

  • Tourism Cooperation: An MoU on tourism cooperation between the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Iran and the Ministry of Economy of Armenia was signed by Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Iran’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, and the Armenian Minister of Economy.

  • Vocational Training and Education: An MoU between the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Affairs of Iran and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sports of Armenia on vocational and technical training was signed by Seyed Mohammad Atabak, Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade, and the Armenian Minister of Education, Science, and Sports.

  • Urban Planning and Construction: An MoU on urban planning and construction cooperation between the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran and the Armenian Urban Planning Committee was signed by Farzaneh Sadegh Mal Malvajerd, Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development, and the Head of Armenia’s Urban Planning Committee.

  • Medical Product Regulations: An MoU on medical product regulatory cooperation was signed by Mehdi Sobhani, Iran’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, and the Deputy Minister of Health of Armenia.

  • Archives and Libraries: An MoU between the National Archives and Library of Iran and the National Archive of Armenia was signed by Faridzadeh, Head of Iran’s Cinema and Audiovisual Organization, and the Head of the Armenian National Archive.

  • Cultural and Library Cooperation: An MoU between the Standards Organization and the National Library of Iran and the National Library of Armenia was signed by Hojatollah Ayoubi, Head of International Affairs and Public Diplomacy of Iran’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia in Tehran.

  • Museum Cooperation: An MoU on inter-museum cooperation between the National Museum of Iran and the History Museum of Armenia was signed by Hojatollah Ayoubi and the Director of the History Museum of Armenia.

  • Cinema Cooperation: An MoU on cinematic cooperation between Iran’s Cinema and Audiovisual Organization of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and Armenia’s Cinema Foundation of the Ministry of Science, Culture, and Sports was signed by Faridzadeh and the Head of Armenia’s Cinema Foundation.
