Rokna Political Desk: Following negotiations with Trump, Putin described the talks as candid and meaningful, and announced progress toward important decisions regarding the Ukraine crisis. He emphasized that Russia respects the Trump administration’s position on ending hostilities.
The Russian president, upon returning from the United States, held a meeting to review the outcomes of Russia-U.S. negotiations.
Putin stated that during the discussions with Trump, an opportunity arose to calmly and fully explain Russia’s position regarding the situation in Ukraine.
The Russian president further added that the conversation with Trump was candid and meaningful and brings them closer to the necessary decisions.
According to him, Russia respects the Trump administration’s stance on the need to end hostilities in Ukraine as soon as possible.
