New Details on Rubio’s Claim About the U.S. Attack on Iran
Rokna Political Desk: The U.S. Secretary of State described the American attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities as a targeted operation aimed at reducing tensions and emphasized that the operation was planned and had a clear objective.

The U.S. Secretary of State characterized the United States’ military aggression against Iran’s nuclear facilities as purposeful and claimed that its goal was to prevent the escalation of tensions.
“Marco Rubio,” the U.S. Secretary of State, in an interview with an American media outlet, called the U.S. attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities in early Tir (June/July) “targeted” and alleged: “The first thing that should be understood about that operation was that it was very, very well defined. It was not about starting a wider war. In fact, it was an attempt at an attack aimed at reducing tensions and had a very clear objective.”
Rubio, responding to a question about how the U.S. President makes decisions when national security and national credibility are at risk, said: “President Trump set the objective. Then his military planners proposed a timeline, and throughout that timeline there were checkpoints where we had to review with the President. All these matters were reviewed. It happened very calmly. As you know, he had been President before, so he had experience in the past.”
Speaking in an interview with the EWTN network, he added: “Then we carried out the attack. He was not tempted to say, ‘let’s go back and do it again’ or ‘do more’ or ‘find another target.’ He had a very clear objective in mind and achieved it.”
The U.S. Secretary of State claimed that the purpose of this attack was to prevent the Iran-Israel war from turning into a regional war.
In response to this aggression, Iran launched Operation “Basharat Fath,” targeting the American Al Udeid base in Qatar with missile strikes.
