Summoning the Clintons: Jeffrey Epstein's Controversial Case Makes Headlines Again

According to Fox News Digital announced that James Comer, chairman of the U.S. House Oversight Committee, sent multiple subpoenas related to Epstein on Tuesday local time. The Republican representative from Kentucky also subpoenaed the Department of Justice to provide records related to the Epstein case.

James Comey and Robert Mueller, former FBI directors, along with Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, William Barr, Jeff Sessions, and Alberto Gonzales, are among those compelled to appear in court.

Based on the report, Hillary Clinton is required to appear on October 9, while Bill Clinton must be present on October 14. Sessions and Barr, who served in Donald Trump’s administration, have been assigned August 18 and August 28, respectively.

Lynch and Holder, officials from the Barack Obama administration, are scheduled to appear on September 19 and September 30, respectively, while Merrick Garland, former Attorney General under Joe Biden, is to testify on October 2, and Gonzales, former Attorney General under George Bush, on August 26.

The Department of Justice has until August 19 to submit the records pertaining to Epstein. A House subcommittee voted last month to issue the subpoenas.

Comer had previously issued a subpoena for Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted sex trafficker, but agreed to delay her testimony until the Supreme Court rules on her request.

Maxwell, 63, a close associate of Epstein, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to sexually abuse minors. She appealed her 2021 conviction for conspiracy with Epstein to traffic underage girls, arguing that a federal immunity agreement should protect her from prosecution.

Epstein socialized for decades with the wealthy and powerful, including prominent politicians, until in 2008 he pleaded guilty to unlawful solicitation and trafficking of individuals under 18 for prostitution.

Trump’s allies, under the slogan “Make America Great Again,” have loudly demanded the release of Epstein’s records for years, believing that these files implicate notable figures.

Epstein, who was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, died on August 10, 2019, in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. His death was ruled a suicide.
