Israel Warns U.S. Against Selling F-35 Fighters to Turkey

The Israeli official urged members of Congress to block the sale of the advanced warplanes to Turkey, cautioning that such a move could endanger Israel’s qualitative military edge and destabilize the Middle East.

The official stated that Turkey, with its neo-Ottoman ambitions, support for Hamas, and military operations in Syria, constitutes a growing threat to regional stability.

He further warned that the risk of military confrontation with Turkey is increasing, as Ankara seeks to revive the Ottoman Empire and extend its influence over Jerusalem.

He added, “Israel would prefer to avoid conflict, but if necessary, it is prepared to act.”
