Iran Resumes Gas Exports to Iraq
Rokna Economic Desk: Iran’s gas exports to Iraq have resumed after a one-week halt due to pipeline maintenance, with a volume of 5 million cubic meters per day, and the gas injection process to the country has restarted.
The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity stated that the injection of Iranian gas to Iraq has resumed at a volume of 5 million cubic meters per day.
Earlier, Ahmad Moussa Al-Ebadi, spokesperson of the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity, had announced that the suspension of Iran’s gas exports to the country was temporary and would resume in the coming days.
He added that Iran had informed the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity that gas pumping to the country would be completely halted for one week, and that this measure was due to repair and maintenance work on the gas pipelines currently being carried out by Iran inside its territory.
