Iran's Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 46,600

Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari told state TV that 13,961 new cases were identified in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s total number of identified cases to 908,346.

She added that the total death toll from the outbreak had reached 46,689 with 482 new deaths.

Lari said 5,849 coronavirus patients are in critical condition.

She also put the number of those who have so far recovered from the viral infection at 633,275.

The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 60.8 million and the death toll has exceeded 1.42 million.
