Iran’s Amouzad Khalili into Individual World Cup Semifinal

The 57kg wrestler beat Saban Kiziltas from Turkey in his first match and then defeated Italian Givi Davidovi in Round of 16. Amouzad Khalili emerged victorious over Diamantino Iuna Fafe from Guinea-Bissau in Round of 8.

He will wrestle Zavur Uguev from Russia in the semifinal.

Amouzad Khalili’s countryman Amir Mohammad Yazdani was supposed to participate at the event but missed it after he tested positive for the coronavirus.

The “Individual World Cup” is being held in Belgrade, Serbia from December 12 to 18.

The event includes a prize pool of 300,000 CHF spread evenly across the 30 weight categories.
