Mother and daughter duo arrested for larceny

Deputies responded to a larceny call at the Wilton Walmart on January 1, 2021 at 4:57 p.m.

After an investigation, deputies arrested Jessika Baylis, 32, of Providence, NY, and Kim Baylis, 55, of Amsterdam, NY, and charged them with burglary, petit larceny, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Both Jessika and Kim are suspected of stealing merchandise from the Walmart after being formally advised by Walmart on a separate occasion that they were not allowed on the premises.

They are also accused of including a minor child in the activities that resulted in the arrest.

They were both processed, released and will appear in the Wilton Town Court at a later date.
