Beloved bus driver mum killed as she drove children to school just before Christmas

A bus driver who died in a tragic accident as she drove children to school in the days before Christmas has been described as caring, funny, happy and kind.

Lisa Fish was driving youngsters to school when she was involved in a head-on collision near Brigg in Lincolnshire on Tuesday, December 8.

The mother was travelling towards Brigg and collided with a silver Renault Traffic van heading towards Howsham.

Luckily none of the children were injured in the crash, Grimsby Live reports.

A fundraising page set up in Lisa's memory for road traffic collision charity Brake has raised £365.

Organiser Samantha Stead said: "As many of you know, Lisa was tragically taken too soon on December 8, 2020.

"Lisa was a wonderful mum, sister, daughter and friend to so many others.

"Lisa was a well loved, caring, funny, happy and kind individual who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and hopefully this fundraiser would make her so proud."

Samantha added: "We think this charity is a very worthwhile cause as it will help so many other families going through the same circumstances."
